This seminar presents the Governance Legibility Design Framework emerging from the fellowship — a methodology for designing AI governance objects that communities, not just institutions, can see, understand, and act on. Rather than a conventional lecture, the session takes an exhibition format: the original Data Rights Card prototypes displayed alongside design audit outputs, with one design decision examined in detail to reveal what a governance legibility audit produces and why. Attendees encounter the methodology through its material output — in physical objects and visual documentation, seeing what community-centred governance design produces when applied to a problem affecting children in Kenyan classrooms. The session closes by opening the Framework to interdisciplinary critique: what would governance legibility require beyond East Africa? What does 'designed to be seen' mean across different cultural epistemologies of transparency?
