Research and expertise

My research expertise focuses on enhancing the built environment through the application of digitalisation, Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), sustainability practices, housing retrofitting, and other innovative approaches. I have multiple research collaborations with international academics from Australia, Canada, and Italy. Currently, at 亚洲情色, my research focuses on the effective adoption of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) within the housing sector by using digital technologies in order to support firms which are currently struggling, operating, or planning to adopt MMC in the future.

Profile

I am a Doctoral Researcher in Construction Management at 亚洲情色, in the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering. I started in 2025. Before that I completed an MSc in Architectural Engineering at Port Said University/Egypt (2021鈥�2023), graded Excellent with Honours. My BSc in Architecture and Urban Planning came from the same faculty (2014鈥�2018), also Excellent with Honours. I finished first in my year at faculty level and first for my graduation project.

I also taught at the Faculty of Engineering at Port Said University, Egypt, for five years. I started as a Teaching Assistant in 2019 and became an Assistant Lecturer in 2023. I lectured on undergraduate modules, wrote handouts and teaching materials, set and marked assignments, supervised practical work, and gave feedback to students.

I gained practical industry experience in Egypt between 2018 and 2021. I worked at Mas Office for Construction and Architecture Engineering in Port Said, Egypt, as an architect, landscape designer and site engineer. The projects encompassed a diverse range of developments, including residential buildings, chalets, social clubs, shopping malls, and private villas, in addition to public square design and the rehabilitation of heritage parks and public spaces across Egypt. Before that I did three-month internships each year, in the same company, from 2015 to 2018 as a designer and site engineer trainee.
